What is Adaire Academy?

At Adaire Academy, we seek to unleash African talent into the global Techology market – by using accredited University curricula. Practically, we enable our Participants to pursue world-class and recognized University credentials and offer a structured approach to their participation in the global Technology market.

We seek to reskill & upskill African post-graduates and early career professionals between the ages of 22 – 32 years who are either un- or under-employed, but have the necessary foundational knowledge necessary to succeed, and have the dedication and motivation to excel in Technology.

We provide for the “Total Cost of Education”, working to remove all obstacles for our participants in their pursuit of their technology careers. 

Adaire Academy partners with Corporates who have matching D&I or ESG goals or seek access to a new pool of technology talent and Swiss and German Universities to redeploy their online programs to Namibia, Ghana and beyond (planned) for African participants to acquire a recognised European qualification with verifiable practical skills.

About EPFL

Our partnership with EPFL Extension School enables us to offer their accredited and world-class Data Science curriculum directly in Namibia and Ghana. This, in combination with the support of our Instructors, Volunteer Mentors create a positive learning environment that promotes readiness for immediate absorbtion into a Corporate environment.

Who we Are

Adaire Academy was conceived and is operated by Adaire, a commercial software outsourcing company, to pursue social impact goals. Our goal is to increase the participation, contribution and visibility of African talent in the global technology market. Academy is an independent charitable organization currently registered in Ghana as a Foundation (Limited by Guarantee) and an Association in Switzerland (in process).

About Income Share Agreements

An Income Share Agreement is a “inclusive” financial instrument where each participant commits to pay for their participation when their income exceeds a threshold. Adaire Academy uses Income Share Agreements as the means to implement its strategy embodied in the slogan: “Learn First, Then Job, The Repay”

FAQs

Adaire Academy is designed for early- or mid-career professionals who are interested in, and believe they can succeed in a professional Technology career, yet, do not have the opportunity to do so given current circumstance. Adaire Academy is designed to unblock and unleash their potential.

Adsaire Academy is for early- career adults, typically beween 22 to 32 who have the necessary prior skills to complete a Technology Diploma (currently in Data Science), and the interest to pursue a Technology Career in the global market.

Adaire Academy is targeting participants who seek to use an Accredited EU qualification as a means to their future career success. Other programs are valuable and likely will contribute to someone's success, when an informed choice is made by anyone signing up for it.

No - Adaire Academy is not free, it is pre-funded. Each participant commits to pay for their participation after they complete the programme, with the expectation that by participating, their income will increase. When incomes increase above a threshold, repayment is due. This is the Income Share Agreement signed by all Participants.

No. While jobs is the desired outcome, our approach is to actively build partnerships and interest with Global Corporates who are looking for Technology talent, to market our Participants and put our Participants in a prime position for future jobs.
